115 Hurontario Street Three-storey, six-bay, Post Modern building with upper floor of red brick built off three, large, pre-cast concrete arches with heavy concrete keystones (c. 1980s). Ground Floor Anodized-aluminum-framed shop-fronts and central mall entrance set well back from huge, free-standing segmental arches built off pre-cast concrete bases. Broad, concrete torus moulding spans between keystones to cap this floor. Second and Third Floors Each of six bays is divided at both levels into three, large, fixed glass, anodized-aluminum-framed windows, with metal sill below and with central, facetted, metal spandrel panels between floors. Apertures are round-headed, with arched portions containing giant fan-lights. Flat, brick masonry of piers extends to form continuous, unornamented parapet with small gable above each bay. Parapet is capped with metal flashing with small, peaked blocks atop each gablet. Additional, large, flat gable set behind parapet contains wide segmental window with anodized framing as elsewhere. |
