41 & 43 Hurontario Street

Two-storey, four bay, red brick building with Italianate elements; radically altered (c.1890).

Ground Floor – Extensively reworked, with miscellaneous openings below continuous aluminum fascia, with continuous brick soldier course above. Modest signage allows extent of re-bricking above to be revealed in all its blankness.

Second Floor – Divided into four bays by simple, red brick pilasters. Windows are inoperable, single pane units in aluminum frames, with thin, (recent) stone sills below and projecting, segmental-arch voussoirs and mannerist brick keystones above.

Parapet – Simple brick piers are built above pilasters and off keystones, with decorative brick panels, simulating balustrade, spanning between. Capped with jointed, terra cotta tiles.
