45-47 Ste. Marie Street

One-storey, symmetrical, post-Prairie School commercial building in brown brick (1990s).

Description – Long, low, office building, with recessed central bay and projecting end pavilions, is carefully symmetrical. Considerable length is masked by articulation into ABA blocks, while use of brick, pitched and hipped roofs, and small, vertically oriented, casement windows, all combine to assimilate this large building into a residential streetscape. In the end, it looks like a large bungalow, and unlike the typical Collingwood commercial building, which is a vertically oriented, flat-roofed structure.
