Pt. Lot 12 S. Pt. Lot 12 Plan 282, By-law No. 87-70

Built in 1884 by W.R. Anderson in conjunction with 89-91, the ownership was split in 194. Mr. Anderson was the owner of W. R. Anderson and Company Wholesale and Retail, dealers in hardware. A portion of the building served as the Bank of Montreal until 1922. The original building was part of a corner block facing the Market Square; the upper level has been retained except for the decorative finials and iron parapet railing. Restored to its original splendor, the building would provide, with its restored companion building, an impressive structure anchoring the centre of the original commercial district.
